Ennuyé

Number one, you fucking morons on the Dallas North Tollway, I pass you up every fucking morning while you sit in the "toll tag" lanes herded in like cattle. I used to get a ride from a person that would do that..."got a toll tag, I'm not gonna go through the booth lanes" even though you know, there is 2 cars sitting in 2 of the 4-8 booths and we could fly right through. No the fastest traffic IS NOT in the 2 left lanes, EVER unless it's 11 at night or 4 in the morning. Try this out, LEARN TO RECOGNIZE PATTERS OF TRAFFIC! It's not at all hard dipshit. Common Sense....I wish I could fucking BEAT it into you. MORON!

Number two, elevator etiquette. Just because you THINK you are the only person in a 4 elevator, 11 story building, doesn't mean that you are. Step the fuck BACK away from the goddamn elevator doors and let people off...also, and this is important dumbass, DON'T HOLD THE ELEVATOR FOR FUCKING ANYONE unless it will take them less than 2 seconds to board. There are 4 fucking elevators and only 11 floors, you do the math Einstein, they won't be waiting for the next one near as long as the people who have been waiting for you to let the fucking doors shut. MORON!

Number three, don't give me a hard time about not hearing from me. Here's the deal, I barely talk to ANYONE, even family. Do you think in the Old West that they got all "disappointed" when they didn't get a letter from the fucking Pony Express every fucking day from their "pals"? Fucking get together now and then, have a beer, drop a line and say hi...AND, I can't stress this enough...if I have TRIED to communicate with you and you time and again DO NOT RESPOND, I will fucking stop, PERIOD! You had your chance, I will not be ignored. It would have taken you 2 seconds to text a goddamn "hi" or for fuck sake, a smiley or SOMETHING! Fuck off! MORON!

Have a nice weekend...fuck face,

Au revoir

I got this thinkin' in my head
You wanna say the things not said

Whats the reason?

Don't really care if you leave
Just wanna see you beaten
Don't really care if you grieve
Don't really need a reason

Hey, goodbye
I wish you stayed here
I wish you were here

What's the meaning?

I just can't believe
that you're not really with me
I just can't believe
I wonder if you'll miss me

Hey, goodbye
I wish you stayed here
I wish you were here

10 raisons votre vie est pathétique et futile

Thanks to Dave Powell for this most disturbing and entirely depressing list of suicidal encouragement.

10 reasons your life is pathetic and futile

1. You will die. It’s inevitable, and it will be of no great consequence to anyone. What’s more, when the moment approaches, when you are certain that this is the time, you will be afraid. You will suddenly be intimately aware of the singular, profound nature of death. It will feel to you like nobody in the history of humanity has ever died before.

2. You have achieved nothing momentous. You cure a disease and nobody remembers you, most of the people you help don’t even know your name, you have to instigate a genocide or have a bunch of kids and abuse them to have any lasting effect on the future, and even then, what’s the point? Momentous achievements will always be replaced, and no matter what you do, somebody better will come along.

3. You are afraid. Your whole life is hemmed in by the things you fear: embarrassment, loneliness, pain, deprivation, being ignored. You start and endure bad relationships because of them, you stay in a job you hate because of them, you miss out on a million life-changing experiences because you are afraid of risk.

4. You don’t have what it takes to be really successful at anything. There is always something missing, something beyond your imagination, or beyond your capacity for hard work.

5. No matter how much fun you have, it’s all temporary, and then it’s never as good the next time around. Pleasure in things diminishes the older you get, so you that you just get more jaded. There is no enjoyment that “gets better with time”.

6. You care way too much about things that do not matter. The environment is irrelevant to your life now, so is your morality, and what other people think about you and your life. Your children can fend for themselves better than you think.

7. Your kids don’t love you. There is minor sentimental attachment, and some nostalgia, but family and “love”, have nothing to do with each other. They might come home from time to time, because they are insecure and need to feel validated by herding. They are comforted by the imaginary strength of a group with the same last name, but as for loving you or being grateful, no. Never.

8. You are alone. Your friends, your spouse, your kids, they hang around you because they think that there is something it for them. Your relationships with other people depend on them thinking that you have something to give to them. The minute they don’t want it or you start feeling like an empty well, they will move on to something better.

9. You are powerless. You eat because your boss cannot now find somebody better and cheaper to do your job. Your health depends largely on genetics and the insurance industry which are beyond your control. Any one of the people you work with could come to work tomorrow with a gun.

10. You don’t have that much time left. Life isn’t just “short”, it’s over. Right now you are afflicted with a fatal disease; your body is in the process of trying to stop running, even as you play Russian roulette by driving on the highway or crossing the street. Every second that passes is you dying, is you passing into history.

Le temps d'obscurité

Sane Living for Unsane Times: Occult Philosophy for the 21st Century

The following list of axioms, seed thoughts and suggestions are for the serious seeker after wisdom. The one who feels there is something wrong with today's hectic, greedy, emotionally charged, materialistic society. And at the same time does not know what to do about it.

Answer:
There is no answer. There is nothing you can do about it. We are in the changing times between two great eras.
Hindu's call it "Kali Yuga." Time of darkness.
The Vikings call it "The Wolfs Age." Christians call it "Revelations."

Remember what that great teacher said over 2000 years ago.
"Come ye out from amongst them and let the dead bury the dead." Now I know that most of you will say that you cannot or will not come out from amongst them because of your: Finances, House. Family, Health, Job, Relationships, etc.

So Be It! The choice is yours. But at least try and save your sanity, improve your health and fight for the slight chance that you will gather enough consciousness, in this lifetime before you pass over, to warrant a semi-conscious reincarnation next time. At least get some of the hooks of this mad society out of you!

Why is this society unsane you may ask?
The leaders of this materialistic society that we live in; including: Educators, Politicians, Lawyers, Business Men, Clergy, Doctors, Military People, Police, Bankers, etc. have all forgotten, or choose not to teach humanity about the spiritual side of man. Man's destiny and purpose is to raise his level of consciousness. To develop and nurture the inner man within and to evolve into the next higher state of being, called ---- homo-spiritualitis.

It is true that in any time period there is only a very small percentage of humanity ready and able to hear and understand this; and to obey its dictum's consciously.
And unfortunately because of this lack of understanding massive humanity must be prodded along unconsciously. But the times we live in today are so fraught with dangers and pitfalls, that even seekers after truth, light and wisdom are having a very difficult time. It seems that the real spiritual teachers like Steiner, Blavatsky, Gurdjieff, Vitvan, Freedman, Baily, Koryzbski, etc have pulled back and are hiding.

Dr. Mao's Secrets of Longevity: Sleep Your Way to 100 With Power Naps (or...Matt takes naps, Matt is smart, leave Matt the FUCK alone now)

by Dr. Maoshing Ni

Power Up with a Power Nap
A long-time tradition in Latin countries, a siesta is a great way to jump start the second half of your day. Famous nap enthusiasts have included some of the best minds in history, such as Albert Einstein, Winston Churchill, and Thomas Edison.

What they knew was that a midday snooze - while seeming to be an unproductive use of time - could actually increase their effectiveness. Some of the reviving benefits of naps include enhanced cognitive function, better reaction time, more patience, stress relief, and better overall health.

So how long should your power nap be? It differs from person to person, but on average, a brief nap to revive the brain should be between 15 and 30 minutes. Sleeping for any longer will get you into deeper stages of sleep, from which it is difficult to awaken. (If you are napping to compensate for significant sleep loss, you would of course want to take a longer nap, and research has much to say about the restorative benefits of lengthy naps.)

Nap Advice to Take to Heart
In America, coronary heart disease is the single largest killer of men and women. Taking a midday nap is one of the best ways to lower stress on your heart.

The body follows a circadian rhythm and according to Chinese medicine, noontime is the peak hour for the heart. In order to strengthen your heart, Chinese doctors advise that you rest and engage in calming activities at this time of day. Studies show that people who napped 30 minutes every day were 30 percent less prone to heart disease than those who didn't take a midday snooze. If you want to live to be 100, you need to take a few naps along the way!

Snoozing on the Job
In this modern society we are pressured to work hard and then play hard, living by the saying, "You can rest when you're dead." Although catchy, it should probably say: "If you don't rest regularly, you'll be dead a lot sooner."

Modern countries don't value rest. Consequently, most adults are sleep-deprived, and this sort of fatigue affects our health, safety, and productivity at work, which in turn, affects a company's bottom line. Think about it: sleepy workers make more mistakes and cause more accidents.

Some companies are actually beginning to encourage power naps during the workday, providing a place where workers can rest briefly. Workers who take advantage of the opportunity to nap for 20 minutes during the workday report that they can then return to work with renewed enthusiasm and energy.

• Instead of combating the afternoon lull with caffeine - a tactic that creates the illusion of efficiency and alertness, but actually "borrows" energy from your life force that you didn't have in the first place - try taking a power nap!

• If you only have five minutes to spare, just close your eyes. Even a brief rest can reduce stress and help you relax, which can give you the increase in energy you need to complete your tasks of the day.

• If you are uncomfortable with napping during the day, another option is meditation. It gives your body a rest and produces slower brain waves that are similar to sleep.

I hope this article shows you the wisdom of napping! I invite you to visit often and share your own personal health and longevity tips with me.

May you live long, live strong, and live happy!

Déformation cognitive

(photo byreginald_dlani)

Let's identify ten cognitive distortions that maintain negative thinking and help to maintain negative emotions. Eliminating these distortions and negative thought is said to improve mood and discourage maladies such as depression and chronic anxiety. The process of learning to refute these distortions is called "cognitive restructuring".

1. All-or-nothing thinking - Thinking of things in absolute terms, like "always", "every" or "never". Few aspects of human behavior are so absolute. (See false dilemma.)

2. Overgeneralization - Taking isolated cases and using them to make wide generalizations. (See hasty generalization.)

3. Mental filter - Focusing exclusively on certain, usually negative or upsetting, aspects of something while ignoring the rest, like a tiny imperfection in a piece of clothing. (See misleading vividness.)

4. Disqualifying the positive - Continually "shooting down" positive experiences for arbitrary, ad hoc reasons. (See special pleading.)

5. Jumping to conclusions - Assuming something negative where there is no evidence to support it. Two specific subtypes are also identified:
o Mind reading - Assuming the intentions of others.
o Fortune telling - Predicting how things will turn before they happen. (See slippery slope.)

6. Magnification and Minimization - Inappropriately understating or exaggerating the way people or situations truly are. Often the positive characteristics of other people are exaggerated and negative characteristics are understated. There is one subtype of magnification:
o Catastrophizing - Focusing on the worst possible outcome, however unlikely, or thinking that a situation is unbearable or impossible when it is really just uncomfortable.

7. Emotional reasoning - Making decisions and arguments based on how you feel rather than objective reality. (See appeal to consequences.)

8. Making should statements - Concentrating on what you think "should" or ought to be rather than the actual situation you are faced with, or having rigid rules which you think should always apply no matter what the circumstances are. (See wishful thinking.)

9. Labeling - Related to overgeneralization, explaining by naming. Rather than describing the specific behavior, you assign a label to someone or yourself that puts them in absolute and unalterable terms.

10. Personalization (or attribution) - Assuming you or others directly caused things when that may not have been the case. (See illusion of control.) When applied to others this is an example of blame.

I bet any number of you, one person in particular, will think that these are distortions owned by other people (especially this writer) but no, they're yours AND mine. I will do something about it...will you? Everything I got was from a reliable sources, medical and psychological references, and can be researched further. I did it, I know you can. Enjoy your day...or, go ahead and stay the same...I'm sure no one minds you pushing them away in your passive-aggressive way.

De Votre Bouche (4:LMA)

Sometimes life’s not fair, I correct myself, I mean, all the time.
I feel like complaining, but it only bothers you.
The things I do, they make your blood run cold.

There’s a lot of things that no one likes,
But I want the answers now, must be all confused somehow.
Did you say what I heard about?
I’ve heard a million things, gossip being sent to me.
I don’t want to believe it until I hear it from your mouth.

Tell me, why are you friendly to my face? What I mean is barely nice.
But when I’m not around, I hear you like to put me down, embarrassment is what I get.

There’s a lot of things that no one likes,
But I want the answers now, must be all confused somehow
Did you say what I heard about?
I’ve heard a million things, gossips being sent to me.
I don’t want to believe it until I hear it from your mouth.

Comfortably NUMB (or...the dumb fucks running your show)

Here's a fun little thing for you to think about, I assist members of "prestigious" colleges and universities all over the country. These men and women are your bankers, your members of congress, your big business owners, your lawyers and judges, your Doctors...your decision makers in positions of massive power.

Now consider this...these people are for lack of a better way to put it, mental infants...like the bottom of the genetic barrel. No common sense, no moral foundation, no manners, none of the shit you would even expect out of a guy bagging your groceries, but THESE assholes are making decisions with your money, desicions that can effect your health and welfare and that of your friends and loved ones as well.

Let me explain something to you, book-smarts DOES NOT equal common sense! Good grades and a college education DOES NOT mean these people should be trusted with our money, our health or indeed, our LIVES.

I'm telling you, I have dealt at one point with someone who has SOMETHING to do with your life...and if you knew just how incompetent these people really are...maybe you would think twice about letting them invest your life-savings or operate on your father's heart, or stand over all of us with that idiot look of superiority because I know how utterly fucking moronic they really are...and I wouldn't trust them to fully comprehend anything.

Feliz Día de los Muertos

More than 500 years ago, when the Spanish Conquistadors landed in what is now Mexico, they encountered natives practicing a ritual that seemed to mock death.

It was a ritual the indigenous people had been practicing at least 3,000 years. A ritual the Spaniards would try unsuccessfully to eradicate.

A ritual known today as Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead.

The ritual is celebrated in Mexico and certain parts of the United States, including the Valley.

Celebrations are held each year in Mesa, Chandler, Guadalupe and at Arizona State University. Although the ritual has since been merged with Catholic theology, it still maintains the basic principles of the Aztec ritual, such as the use of skulls.

Today, people don wooden skull masks called calacas and dance in honor of their deceased relatives. The wooden skulls are also placed on altars that are dedicated to the dead. Sugar skulls, made with the names of the dead person on the forehead, are eaten by a relative or friend, according to Mary J. Adrade, who has written three books on the ritual.

The Aztecs and other Meso-American civilizations kept skulls as trophies and displayed them during the ritual. The skulls were used to symbolize death and rebirth.

The skulls were used to honor the dead, whom the Aztecs and other Meso-American civilizations believed came back to visit during the monthlong ritual.

Unlike the Spaniards, who viewed death as the end of life, the natives viewed it as the continuation of life. Instead of fearing death, they embraced it. To them, life was a dream and only in death did they become truly awake.

"The pre-Hispanic people honored duality as being dynamic," said Christina Gonzalez, senior lecturer on Hispanic issues at Arizona State University. "They didn't separate death from pain, wealth from poverty like they did in Western cultures."

However, the Spaniards considered the ritual to be sacrilegious. They perceived the indigenous people to be barbaric and pagan.

In their attempts to convert them to Catholicism, the Spaniards tried to kill the ritual.

But like the old Aztec spirits, the ritual refused to die.

To make the ritual more Christian, the Spaniards moved it so it coincided with All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day (Nov. 1 and 2), which is when it is celebrated today.

Previously it fell on the ninth month of the Aztec Solar Calendar, approximately the beginning of August, and was celebrated for the entire month. Festivities were presided over by the goddess Mictecacihuatl. The goddess, known as "Lady of the Dead," was believed to have died at birth, Andrade said.

Today, Day of the Dead is celebrated in Mexico and in certain parts of the United States and Central America.

"It's celebrated different depending on where you go," Gonzalez said.

In rural Mexico, people visit the cemetery where their loved ones are buried. They decorate gravesites with marigold flowers and candles. They bring toys for dead children and bottles of tequila to adults. They sit on picnic blankets next to gravesites and eat the favorite food of their loved ones.
